Despite the fact that the term "metaverse" was first used in 1992, it might provide both consumers and the businesses that engage with them new and exciting opportunities. The only issue is that many people don't understand what the metaverse is.
Who is using it, exactly? What makes them use it? Which of the ostensibly innumerable metaverses should you include in your marketing plan? How may the metaverse help advertisers navigate the laws governing data privacy? We polled over 1,000 consumers in the United States to get their opinions on the biggest trends of the day in order to acquire some clarity.
In that survey, 8% of participants claimed to have been to a metaverse. It's not the entire story, though.
In contrast, 58% of respondents said they would probably be comfortable sharing information with their favorite companies in order to be paid for it, and 52% said they would probably give information to their favorite brands in order to obtain better service. In general, everyone wants to be connected and stay connected, but they don't want to divulge too much information.
